- Color Pattern: from the top Ospreys are brown and mostly white below. The wings are mostly white with dark patches on the wrists (bellow view). The head is white with a brown stripe through the eye. Ospreys are most well known for having big yellow eyes, that have super good eye sight. Younger ospreys have white spots on the back and shading on the breast.
- Behavior: Ospreys spend their days searching for fish. Their keen eye sight, sharp talents and strong wings allow them to be expert fishers. Ospreys circle high in the sky before descent, in order to sight their prey. Then they fly a few feet above the water before diving in to catch fish. Once caught fish are brought back to nests for eating.
- Habitat: Ospreys live along the water in nests so they can be close to their food (fish). They live near salt-marshes, rivers, ponds, reservoirs, estuaries, and even coral reefs. They nests are often built on top of poles or dead trees and are made by the male out of sticks.
